A/C Vacuum Manifold?

I'm trying to track down why I'm only getting air out of the vents and nowhere else no matter what setting I put it on. I saw some others commented in other threads about removing a A/C vacuum manifold and a resistor being bad. I'm just not 100% sure where this is but I know I'm in the right area. I've attached pictures of what I thought it may be. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you could also not be getting power to the switch on the ac box that also helps flow the air through the defroster vents etc etc

Re: A/C Vacuum Manifold?

Think I figured out my problem. The two hard lines circled, one being for the valve and the other for the HVAC, don't seem to be where they need to be. The supposed one for the heater valve is just laying there since me bypassing it and never thought anything of it, if that's even the one for the heater valve. The other, runs way over to the driver side and goes into a T valve but isn't this supposed to be coming straight off the passenger side plenum? Where it's at now, I'd think it's causing a issue with the HVAC vacuum. I went out and unplugged the HVAC hard line from the T and heard a hiss like pressure was releasing. Also, how would I find out which one is which?

Re: A/C Vacuum Manifold?

I stand corrected. For 87 it appears to be routed correctly.

Re: A/C Vacuum Manifold?

Well I discovered a few leaks and fixed them, but still only air from the defrost. Gonna pull the controls and check the vacuum lines back there.

Make sure there are no small cracks in the two lines in the engine compartment i had a small hair line crack an that caused my heat to only blow out the defroster

Re: A/C Vacuum Manifold?

FYI, your valve covers are on the wrong side.
