dumb question TPS testing

i wanna test my TPS to make sure its at the factory .57 setting but im new to multimeters. this is the one i have, alot confuses me on it what is the dial setting to use for testing TPS?

I'm in the same boat, what I do is take a 9V battery and test different settings till it reads 9v, (usually like 8.61v), Obviously DC.

Try it.

I set my TPS to .54, think book sayes .48 to .59 ..., so I picked the middle.

Is .57 any better ?

another member from a different forum told me .57 was a good setting, but i looked it up and it said factory setting was .54

Make sure u discconnect the battery when u do thos so the ecm can get the new reading when u rehook up the bat but yes .48-.57 is good if ur looking to be at factory specs its .54

the battery needs to be hooked up to get power to the TPS
