There was one listed in OH Criagslist, but I checked and don't see it now. Might check there and see if he tries again.

It was flame red but needed some work. Don't know if it had digital dash or not.

never let the price stop you. bring cash and wave it under their nose. the prev owner of mine was asking about double what I ended up paying for it!

Always do. As the saying goes, "cash talks, BS walks".

Two other things:
1. NEVER get emotionally attached to a car for sale. You don't own it anyhow and others are out there. If you do get emotionally attached, you always pay more for it than you originally planned.

2. Know how much is your max and walk away. When the seller sees the cash in your hand and realizes you are walking out of a deal, it is like a kick in the junk. Especially if it has been for sale forever and you are the first to look at it with cash in hand...

This is a nice notchback. Hope you are able to work something out for it.

I am still looking for a red hard top GTA with about 50-60K miles if you guys stumble across one. Everyone I look at I haven't been able to make a deal, owners think they are $9-10K cars....

Re: WTB 1988 Notchback, digital dash, 5.7

actually just looked at the ad. not a bad car for the price. since it is a notch with those miles I think it is priced right. not that I wouldn't try to deal tho

It's looks like a nice car, wish I would have saw the ad earlier in the day. I was in SC with my job, about 20 miles from there and would have looked at it.

Re: WTB 1988 Notchback, digital dash, 5.7

Thanks guys. It is a nice one. But I seen them cheaper with leather for around 8-9K. Although mileage is a plus on this one. I would prefer leather though...

Re: WTB 1988 Notchback, digital dash, 5.7

That's a hard one to pass up...

I've looked at a lot GTAs over the years, this is the best notchback I've seen for sale, with relative low mileage.

I wouldn't let the price slow me down, nobody is getting that asking pricer for GTAs right now. Sellers are asking it but no one is buying at those prices. That is why you see those cars listed for months or years for sale. The last few months, I've seen nice 45-65,000 mile GTAs for $6500-8000 and they aren't selling. Let alone $9-11,000 and up, they are stagnant! If people were paying those prices, the cars would be sold quickly. They aren't. It is a buyer's market. Not a lot of buyers have cash money which is what you need to buy a 25 yr old car. If I was a seller, I would think that over real hard before saying "no" to a reasonable offer. Especially if I had been trying to sell it for a while... Just my thoughts.

That's in my neck of the woods and I think I've seen that one. I wonder if the bumper has been redone, as the state of Missouri "requires" you run a front license plate. Either way, good looking Notch.

From what I can remember, nothing out of the ordinary, BUT that was quite a while back.
