Re: New member with 89 GTA project OVRMYHD

Some local tracks here don't like the power cables inside the car and the way I routed this cable here is very little if any chance of damage.

If the positive battery cable gets damaged where it is routed then more than likely I will have much bigger concerns than the few dollars it will take to replace it, like replacing body panels.
What I was referring to was the quality of fasteners he used to avoid them wearing into the cable and shorting out.
Tracey isn't just someone who has a little experience with these cars. His knowledge comes from decades of hands on experience with thousands of cars. He knows and understands the pro's and con's of every decision he makes about what part to use and how to use it. While some cars are restored to factory condition by their owners others are modified for whatever their intended purpose will be in the future.
Should the cable ever need replaced I will be extremely appreciative that the interior and carpet will not need to be removed.

4th gem seats or 3rd gen seats. Look like 4th gen after looking at the photos again.

It's on the road and you are sooo right. It actually scared me the first time I floored it at 65. Anywhere over 15 mph and she dead hooks and goes. It's violent.

Re: New member with 89 GTA project OVRMYHD

Looking good so far. Keep up the excellent work. That car is going to be a real screamer with that LS motor in there.

Re: New member with 89 GTA project OVRMYHD

She definitely is a screamer. Now that the new has worn off the tires they are completely and pitifully helpless under the assault of the LS1. Kicking it to the floor is reminiscent of old roadrunner cartoons when the coyote is strapped to a rocket engine and blasted out of a scene
The paint is going on now and should be complete soon.
