Re: Not A GTA

Well of course you will have to change your User name now (just kidding).

Not sure about the '87s but does your invoice have?:

WS4 Trans Am Package
W66 Formula Option
Y81 Firebird Package
Y83 Trans Am Package

Don't feel too bad. Many of the threads on this forum will apply to you and your car. And if you find a forum with more helpful people than this one let me know!

Re: Not A GTA

Sorry about that. I don't understand why somebody would clone a GTA. There not worth that much more to even bother yet. Actually most think the GTA is undesirable because it's so bloated. I've known a lot of people that strip everything out of their car to save every pound possible. I bought mine because I'm not interested in racing anybody, I just love the look and wanted a fully optioned car. If I found a fully optioned Trans Am, I would be just as happy with it. In fact I'm just as happy with my six cylinder "86", for the most part. A few more options would have been nice. Still a nice car. So, I hope you don't feel too bad about it. Enjoy.

Regards,

Ron.

Re: Not A GTA

Actually I think they clone them because usually (maybe I am wrong) but I notice a GTA will sell for more than a Firebird or Trans Am. It seems like the price is about $1,500 more on the average for an average condition GTA than the other ones.

Re: Not A GTA

^Agreed! To clone one is very very easy. 5.0 TPI's are the worst to figure out!
