TTA's ?

Ok, I was reading another post on here and wondered how many TTA Owners are active on this site besides myself?

Re: TTA's ?

True,
But the prices for all the goodies are still climbing.
I think everyone should get one.
Or, at least go for a drive in one.
Stop by Kingman, AZ., and I may just give you a ride.
And yes, as you can tell, I have one.

Re: TTA's ?

Only thing that I dont like about it is that it doesn't have the V8 rumble, but the coolest thing about it is that I have the turbo noises and the sweet exhaust note of the 3.8. I can honestly say without hesitation that its my all time favorite car I've ever owned

Gee, George.... with only 1550 cars built that's a tall order 20+ years on, wouldn't you say?

You could also add: get schooled by one. I have been on occasion, and am proud of it.

Re: TTA's ?

I love the the 3.8 really nothing else like it. My only problem is with me not really being a master mechanic if they get out of wack kinda hard to get to running right again. Atleast thats been my problem.

Put it in the car,
And it'll be just like one.
I gave up taking my baby to the drags.
She lasts longer.

Re: TTA's ?

I do not know much about this TTA car but I wish that I did. Too bad that the TTA did not come out in 1987, because if it did, I would have been an original owner of one of those.

Actually the very first time I ever heard about the TTA was when I was reading about Sam Kinison in 1992.

Re: TTA's ?

One day, when I get a lot of $$$, I would like to have a car collection. In that collection, one of the first would have to be an Indy Pace car TTA.

Re: TTA's ?

I used to build model cars when I was a teenager in the early 90s, always had a love of firebirds but didnt really read about them until then, somewhere and I've been dying to find it I have this trading card that came with one of my models that has the TTA on it and it has all the specs about it. That was really the first I learned of it and I was always confused how the only V6 in a Trans Am ever was so darn fast!

I guess thats where the fascination started, but I always used to see flame red GTAs in town there were 2 of them that I'd always ride my bike by and say, someday I want one of those!

Re: TTA's ?

Hi Jim!
I'm just busy on other websites.
Don't do the Firebird/Trans Am websites as much as I use to.
And now, with the weather getting warmer, not on the computer as much.
The show is still up in the air for me right now.
It will depend on gas prices next year.
No way will I drive my car out there.
Trailer it only.
As for the TTA, I knew Pontiac was coming out with one, since the 15th Anniversary Trans Am came out.
I was in the market for a new car in 1987, and I'm glad I held out for a few more years.
Never regretted the waiting.

George
