Guess it's my turn... :)

I took my own photos of the GTA a couple weeks ago. And her siblings...

Looks awesome!
Is that an actual Firehawk, or just a Firehawk hood?

Re: Guess it's my turn... :)

The hood is the only thing Firehawk about her. That's a Raptor hood put on just a couple years ago.

As for the 2nd gen, I'd love to, but hubby made me stop at 2.

Re: Guess it's my turn... :)

To me the GTA is one of the better looking ones in those pictures. Of course, that red one is also a pretty beautiful one too, especially from the front, in photograph #3.

I agree with Yumiko, the GTA is the best looking car in the pictures.

Re: Guess it's my turn... :)

I also think that the GTAs were built better quality then the Trans Ams that were built after the GTAs were no longer built. Well the technology was better on the newer ones, but the overall quality and design on the newer ones was not better then the GTAs.

My example, and I remember talking about it on this forum in 2002, I had gone to the Pontiac dealer and looked at the yellow 2002 last year Trans Am when they were in the showroom. From a distance it looked good, but when I was up to it in the showroom, it just seemed cheaply and simply designed and assembled. What I mean by this is, they had painted "Trans Am" on the center portion of the rear light assembly. In our GTAs, there is an emblem that was painted, cut out and fit into a center piece that has the same shape in it for that emblem. I did not like the interior design of the 2002 Trans Am either. The 2002 did not have a good rim design to me either. Maybe it is just me, but I really think that the "fourth generation" was not attractive on the interior or exterior as the GTAs were. The technology was better though, but that is all. So for the price that the 2002 Trans Am was being sold for, and since I did not feel impressed with it, to me I would not have purchased it. Between 1979 and 2002, I think the best cars that were designed and produced was the GTAs. Of course...my opinion only.

Re: Guess it's my turn... :)

And in the first picture, what rims look the best out of all the rest? The GTAs of course. The others look boring to me and they look almost like aftermarket ones, with the only exception of the red firebird at the opposite side of the photograph that the GTA is on.

Re: Guess it's my turn... :)

Well, the blue one is my daily driver V6 Bird, with '00 Camaro rims (I HATED the "eggholes". The red '98 DOES have aftermarket TT2 rims. The red '86 is all original except for some stereo equipment, so you'd be right.

As meticulous as I am about Emma, she does photograph well...but DANG that '98 is a BLAST to drive.

Nope. I don't have a club to show with, and Emma's transmission is being saved for her trip to Tick Performance next week.
