Help Me Please Blower Motor

Hey guyz I just installed a new blower motor into my 88 GTA wit A/C the old one was shot when i turned the heater on with the old blower motor it sounded lik rocks where inside of it!!! It was jamming up bad!!! So I installed a new one today with a new motor and new metal fan basket unlike the old one which had a plastic fan basket!!! I cant get the new blower motor to turn on all connections are correct and its grounded to the motor itself with a small screw just lik the old motor!!! I dont know whats wrong when I turn on the A/C i hear just a kinda loud click but when i turn it to the heater i hear nuthin!!! Relay?? Does it have to have a plastic fan basket like the old motor?? I also check the new motor by pluging into my battery with wires and it work fine so its not the new blower motor!!! Please help!!!

Re: Blower Motor

Yup. Check the relay. Test lights are fabulous for that stuff.

Re: Blower Motor

Well figured out the problem our GTAs cannot use a metal wheel fan on the blower motor only a plastic one will work!!! Cuz due to the ground wire attaches unto the blower motor itself and the metal wheel makes it short out and made my relay blow up too!!! Well at least that whAT WORKED for my GTA!!!
