Re: Gas Leak

What you can do is, get the Accel gage kit(as usual those guys at Summit, well, you know), anywho, get that kit and then get a better gauge. The one that comes in the Accel kit, is junk. Also th ekit comes with all the necssary stuff to make it work. hth

Re: Gas Leak

I went for the big priced one.
The autometer digital fuel pressure gauge. The sensor screws in directly to the fuel rail in place of the shrader valve. I have yet to put it in yet but its simple to install.

Re: Gas Leak

Will I be able to leave either of these on the fuel rail? I dont want it to break after a few times driving. Jegs has a ton of gauges but I dont know which one would fit my car, or are most of them a generic size?

Re: Gas Leak

Alright, so far I have the holley fuel pressure regulator ordered, new vacuum tubing for the regulator, and gaskets for the runners. Some of these gauges have the twist on, on the back of it and others have the twist on, on the bottom. I looked at the spot where I am going to install this gauge and it doesnt appear there is enough room. What combination of adapters would bring it out far enough so a gauge will fit with no problems.

Re: Gas Leak

The gauge doesn't fit with the vacuum hose still attached. Is there anything I can do to fix this problem?

Re: Gas Leak

I dont have a digital camera. My dad is in Texas right now dealing with hurricane claims from hurricane Ike. He brought it down there with him. Take a look at this site. There are a few pictures that look exactly like what the problem is. Gauge. Hope that is what you were looking for. Thanks again.

Re: Gas Leak

It isn't in a forum. I found it on a website that has directions on how to install the gauge. Here's the website if you didnt catch the hyperlink in the other post. http://www.stclairassociates.co.uk/A...%20Install.htm

Unsure what to do.

Re: Gas Leak

Check out the second picture from the bottom. Would I be able to switch the vacuum hose that goes from the lower plenum to the pressure regulator around so that the 90 degree angle sits behind the pressure gauge. Or do i have to have the straight fitting come from the plenum? Because any way, the regulator is getting its air, so i dont know how it would effect it.

I bought replacement screws from McMaster-Carr. They are Phillips instead of Torx, but they are the correct size & pitch.

Re: Gas Leak

M3.5x12mm

I don't think that they have them in stainless. I bought standard zinc-plated, which still look fine.

Re: Gas Leak

On the new Fuel Pressure Gauge, should I use some type of tape or sealant to block off any chance of there being another leak?
