hmm... i'm 1 of 93 because only 93 GTA's were made in 1990 (884 U.S. GTA's total in 1990) with the Beechwood (tan) interior...im sure im probably like 1 of 20 though because how many of those tan had black exterior along with the 350 and are still around....but you can only guess for that part....anyways ttyl, Josh

Re: Question about production numbers?...

Since everyone in this thread are black GTA owners I thought that I would post a couple of worthy photos I found by one of our fellow members that doesn't post here alot "tripletransam". He created a web page highlighting his '87 and man does it look sweet.

Here is a link to the RPO numbers page that will tell you all the info on your year of GTA.

http://www.gtasourcepage.com/RPOFiguresMain

According to it, my car is 1 of 219 with medium dark gray cloth interior and 1 of 446 black GTA's built for the year.

That black GTA above is fantastic. I aspire for Hector to look like that sometime.

All kidding aside, there's not much that looks better than a black GTA when the paint is right....

Ok, Scarlitt is 1988, GTA, flame red metallic w/ beachwood cloth. Is she 1 of 2809 or 3060?
Also, can I narrow her down anymore?

Re: Question about production numbers?...

Actually, Gary your GTA is both of those. Single options are as far as these cars can be broken down to; option combinations were not tallied in the same manner, so there's no way to know how many 5.7L cars had the UQ7 subwoofer setup.

Basically you have to find the lowest production option on your car, and there you go. 1992 owners don't quite have to do that....

Re: Question about production numbers?...

Ahh, Thanks alot. I will try to find a list of Options offered for my car and see what I have. I figured she was fully loaded. I have power everything, digital dash, steering wheel control, split rear seats, cargo shade thingy, aluminum spare w/ inflater, 5.7l, ws6, gold rims etc., etc..

Black is the color of the SR71 that they were inspired by right?

Are there more detailed records on the '92 numbers somewhere?

Re: Question about production numbers?...

Yes, the SR71 Blackbird spy planes were all black titanium, and inspired the original scheme for the GTAs.... which should be the topic of Lou Wassel's next blog entry.

No, the 1992s share the same recording system; they are just much easier to track and figure out because so few of them were made, practically just for customer orders only.

So do I, Joe.... and Hector is a 10-footer car. Yours was like looking in a mirror the last time I saw it....

Don't mistake me folks.... I love 'em all in all colors. But Black done right on a GTA just makes you stand back and go "Damn....".
