The HPP Article Is Here....
I got my copy in the mail this morning, so you subscribers out there.... it should be arriving soon. Newsstand arrivals should start in about two weeks.
It's a very good 5-page article by Christopher Phillip in an interview-like format with Lou. Love the title.... "It's A Bird! It's A Plane! It's A Bird That Was Inspired By A Plane! How The USAF Blackbird Influenced The '87-92 Trans Am GTA" Good images too.... they even used the shot of Lou with his GTA Source Page cap. ![]() Still, it's great to have some mainstream press for us GTA owners and enthusiasts. |

Re: The HPP Article Is Here....
I went to Borders today and I was looking for this HPP magazine. I could not find it so I am unsure of Borders even sells that magazine. However, I did find a magazine called "GM High-Tech Performance" and I am unsure of the date of that magazine but it does say it can only be on sale until May 15, 2007. While I was looking in that magazine, I saw an article in there that features a 1988 GTA complete with some photographs. The 1988 GTA in there is bright red. I did not buy this magazine, just thought that it was something to mention on this site in case anyone is interested in that. Yumiko

Re: The HPP Article Is Here....
I got to read it! It was really cool and there were a few mentions of the GTA Source in there. It was awesome. So awesome that I had my wife buy two copies. One for me to keep intact and another for me to pull the article out of the magazine to display at shows. I'm going to have to go out and get that other magazine now Yumiko.

Re: The HPP Article Is Here....
Here is the magazine on a link
http://www.gmhightechperformance.com/toc/gmht_toc/ The article that the 1988 GTA is featured in is called "Red Draggin." Another nice article on this link is on the TTA: http://www.gmhightechperformance.com...turbo_feature/ Yumiko

Re: The HPP Article Is Here....
I think the red GTA would have been cooler had he turbo charged the V8 instead of pulling it to put a V6 turbo in there. I'm still going to have to check out the full article.

Re: The HPP Article Is Here....
I just got back from visiting Borders book store this morning. I did get to read the article in High Performance Pontiac magazine today about what everyone is talking about. Very good article, more importantly Frankie seems to be a star now in a way because they mention his name in the article and also the GTA sourcepage hat was featured in one of the photographs. This is very nice. I also have one of those hats.....thank you again Frankie!
I did notice that this was part I of a part II. Apparently there will be a continuation in the next month issue. I will definitely keep my eyes open for this next issue as well. Yumiko

Re: The HPP Article Is Here....
No, Yumiko, I'm not a star by any means. If anything, this website is the star; this website and the scope that it encompasses is "what it's all about".... So everybody that contributes here is a star in his or her own right.
I just want everybody to know what great cars we all have, that's all. I've seen the Part II of the article... it deals more with the TTA specifically than the GTA, IMO. But it's all good.... ![]() |

Re: The HPP Article Is Here....
Sorry Darrell, I only got one copy to save and the other to take apart for display at car shows. I didn't even think about having the wife pick up more copies. I did scan it so I wouldn't take my original copies out and get them messed up.

Re: The HPP Article Is Here....
anybody read part 2 yet? picked up my copy at the newstand a few days ago. loved the second half.
my only complaint, BOTH issues have the center pages falling out. they need some bigger staples. ![]()
