header flange

I just got a new set of holley headers - the header tubes are not even with the flange, the stick out atleast 1/16th of an inch. is that correct? wont that make it hard to get the headers to seal to the gasket?

Re: header flange

mine are the same way, the tubes actually suck up to the head exhaust ports and the gasket takes up the space you are talking about. I've had no problems using dead soft aluminum header gaskets.
