Header Installation
I would like to know if it is possible to remove the heater box/AC box from the firewall. All AC and heater components have been removed, but this box is in the way for installation of headers. Besides, it will clean up engine bay and I don't need it anymore anyways. Has anyone done this and if so, was it very difficult?

Re: Header Installation
i have a heater only box in my car, but that's not totally what you're asking about. If you want it all gone, just remove the whole heater box setup and put some sheet metal over the hole.

Re: Header Installation
Thanx Munson. Thats exactly what I am after. I work in a fab shop, so when I remove the heater box, I will use maybe some 14ga. aluminum checker plate to cover the hole.

Re: Header Installation
...otherwise your going to find a non-air heater box in a 4 cyl & V6 series easy, but not many heater delete cars running around to salvage from.
