Finally my car is back on the road...what do you think???
After two long years it is finally over and I have my GTA back! Only this time it is a far cry from what it used to be. What was 350 TPI is now a Minirammed 383 stroker! Along with a completely rebuilt 700R4. All new suspension throughout, including Eibach sportlines, KYB shocks and struts, etc, etc. Nitto 555R's help put all the power to the ground, and a NX Express 150 kit helps keep those pesky Z06's and Cobra's stratching there heads! LOL! What do you guys think?

Re: Finally my car is back on the road...what do you think???
Hello there,
Yes, that is one nice GTA as someone previous has said. I like the photo with the ocean in the background. Pretty clean GTA. It seems you take care of this car well. I took my GTA out on the road for first time on a trip since my own GTA two year project. Last month (August) I drove to San Diego to visit friends. It ran very very nice during the drive down there are back, though I only drove during night time so I did not take any photos during the trip. I just drive there by myself listening to Show-Ya which is one of my favorite band in Japan - all girl hard rock band. But my trip this time was sort of important trip for me because this could be the very last trip I take with my GTA. I do not want to take it on long drives any longer. I silently reminisced in my mind about all the past trips I once took with my GTA to Southern California in the early 1990s as some of my favorite songs played along the way. I guess that is what you get when you can still drive the same car you have had for 17 years. Oh well......happy day. Yumiko

You won't. That cardomain pic is a picture that my friend took of my engine when we participated in a car show last week. I then saved it from a post he made on our local f-body club, www.nf-fbody.com. Thanks for all the wonderful comments guys, appreciate it!! |

Awesome man, I wish mine looked that good.
Yumiko, why don't you look around for another one for a driver and keep yours safe in a garage somewhere? |

Hello GTA_Joe,
Thank you for the suggestion, but I thought about that a long long time ago. Why I did not do it and find another one was because I love these GTAs so much that I would end up probably fully restoring the daily driver one and then putting it in a garage too like my original one. I just can not spend any more money on another GTA as I do on my first one. Thank you though for the suggestion. Yumiko

Re: Finally my car is back on the road...what do you think???
I've got...
2 inches of fenderwell gap in the front... 1 3/4 inches of gap in the back.. Although when you look at the car it sits perfectly level and straight?? And I have 6 1/2" ground clearance measured from the ground effects behind the door. The point where the gfx takes a dip just before the back wheel. At that point I have 6 1/2". I have no problems with these springs. I even added a Moroso deep sump pan when I did my 383 swap, and I have no issues there either. |
