Getting a new GTA, need new tires

I need to get winter tires, with the metal spikes, or whatever you call it in english, in them, no all-year-round tires.
It's a 1991 GTA, what I wonder is, what is the tire size from the factory on those? I wanna be authentic

Re: Getting a new GTA, need new tires

Oh the winter is highly overrated in terms of nastyness if you ask me, atleast here, I've seen american cars here all the time thats been driven in the winter and it's not hurt them one bit, all you have todo is to be sane and rustproof your car every year, something I do even with my current rundown Mazda, you only have to worry about stuff like that in city areas where they salt alot and the people don't tend to rustproof their cars, not the rural area I live in.

Re: Getting a new GTA, need new tires

I just want the original tire-sizes so I know what to put on my car, nothing else, thank you in advance for reply, in the meantime I'll scrounge around.

Re: Getting a new GTA, need new tires

Maybe later I'll get a cheap diesel or something like that and leave the GTA home on really cold days, ofcourse I'm getting a block-warmer for it, have one in my current car and have it setup so that it automatically goes off at 07:00AM every morning and warms the engine so I don't have to cold start it when I leave for work, also got an internal heater that starts when the blockheater does, so the car is warm on the inside as well

Re: Getting a new GTA, need new tires

The car came originally with Goodyear Eagle P245/50VR16 tires. I recently replaced them with 245/50ZR16 in front and went with the wider 255/50ZR16's in the back. A little extra width in the inclimate and dry weather helps a little more, plus it looks meaner.

Re: Getting a new GTA, need new tires

I'll keep with the original wheels and tires, however for winter tires I have 215/65/15 instead, must be narrower if you want good traction.
