Cool Hmmmmmm

I have never seen this style of seat without the headrest, but that doesnt mean it cant be done. If i was going to ask this question, I would run it around town & let a few upolstery shops look at it & that who i would ask. I would try to find a shop that has had one of this style of seat apart. I bet they could tell you how difficult it would be to do. Just my 2 cents worth.....

What you need is a thin piece of metal blade (I used a hose clamp that I straigthend) about a foot long.
If you lift the rubberhump thing between the headrest and the seat it self and then put the metal blade down on the front of the rectangular shaft holding the headrest in place in the seat and mess around down there you will be able to get it out. Basicly there is a small spring loaded pin that snaps into a hole in the shaft and needs to be pressed out using the metal blade and then you can just pull the headrest straifht up.

Hope this helps, I've done it and it takes a while that is for sure.
