1989 gta am/fm cd player

You know the stock CD player does not work with the streering wheel controls right ?

Just b/c Gm wanted it that way... 89 was the first year with factory CD players. if you got that opt. with your GTA you did not get the Radio control steering wheel, b/c it did not control the radio. But you can still use the factory wire hook-ups if you switch to Factory CD player from on Am-Fm Cass. radio. They are out there...you just have to look and if you find one chances are they are going for a few dollars.

i ran across one in a junkyard i didnt want it i have the controls on the steering wheel but the guy wanted 150 anyway

I have that option in my GTA and yeah no steering wheel controls , I do have a spare CD player that I bought years ago for $25 , but I'm keeping it for spare parts if needed. I have had mine fix once because the CD would get stuck and now I have to have it fixed again for the same problem , these early CD players are not built too well.
