Re: How rare is that?
I think it should be noted that t-tops an the 350 option is quite unusual for 1987 & 1988, however 1989 they are quite plentiful. The reason is unclear, everything from too much body flex to Pontiac & Chevy trying to keep the CAFE requirements for Fuel milage up.
I have only knowledge of 1 1987 Trans Am that was equiped with a 350 and T-tops, all other 87 & 88 T-top/350 cars that I am aware of were Camaros. John |

Re: How rare is that?
Hey i have a 1988 white notchback with analog cluster that looks the same as the one on the 1988 motor trend magazine and if they made only 5 analogs dash in 1988 plus being a notchback is a realy big possibility that mine is the one on the magazine. what u think

Re: How rare is that?
I like the t-tops and the notchback, but not the spoiler
![]() Im glad you are going to restore it to original condition, it's worth it in the end. Just interesting to see a notchback over in Germany, that's pretty cool, I wonder how it wound up over there... Maybe purchased here by a NATO soldier who was posted to Lahr or Baden Baden and sold there and then made it's way around? How did you come to own it?
