Birth Certificates...

Has anyone ever attempted to make a GTA Birth Certificate. SLP has these for the Firehawks and SS cars. The only problem would be the signatures that are on the certifcates. I'm sure we could also come across a track print of a Gatorback tire as well. Any ideas on this?

Hmmmm, it would be cool, however, I think GM might not like the idea and would consider it a copyright violation.

as long as it's not identical to the version they make, i don't see what they could say about it. espically if you aren't selling it.

Re: Birth Certificates...

Sort of reminds me of the Cabbage Patch Dolls, they came with birth certificates too. Yumiko

Re: Birth Certificates...

Make them nice, but not official looking, change a speck, change a speck there, and VOILA! Doing signs for years, I learned just how far you could go! LOL

As long as you aren't selling GM stuff, or using GM stuff in some kind of vulgarity/racism etc., they won't blink an eye anyways.

After all, we say GM, Chevrolet, Pontiac, etc. and they don't care. It is when you push them, or rob them of their share of $, is when they'll take notice.

Re: Birth Certificates...

The only thing is this would be kind of pointless unless we could get Mr. Wassel to sign them like SLP signs theirs. I was able to find a Gatorback image off a Vette and the other graphics are easy to find as is the layout. SLP didn't make the sample image large enough for me to figure out what information is contained on it. Once I can figure out what the individual blocks are, laying out a sample one would be a breeze.

Re: Birth Certificates...

I've never seen one of these "Birth Certificates" before, so I'm not familiar with what you're talking about.

Now, let's not cast dispersions on the lovable Cabbage Patch Dolls.... I still have my little Bentley Gallagher in storage, and I wouldn't take $10 for him. He's the best kind of child.... gives me no trouble whatsoever, easy to feed and clothe, and always has a smile on his face.

GM is pretty careful about anything with their trademarks that involves money. Couldn't you just have somebody who has one of these cars tell you what the sheet says on it. With the GTAs being so "mass production" compared to the Firehawks, etc. some of the pertinent data might be hard to track down for our cars.

Re: Birth Certificates...

I'm going to take a picture of my friends SLP Birth Certificate for his SS tomorrow. The images are simple to get or duplicate. Here's a link to the SLP Birth Certificates sold only by SLP. Too bad that they charge sixty bucks for one with an addition five in ship/handling.
