Will it work?? 305 TPI to 350 TPI

What's up everyone?? I'm considering buying a 1987 GTA with the 305 TPI and 700R4. What I would like to know is how easy would it be to swap the TPI and necessary components over to a gen 1 350, and basically make the car a 5.7 350 TPI. The car is complete with all the things, but I just need to know if it can be done. I know I'll need new injectors(22lbs hr) I'm more concerned about the actual TPI components. Any advice is welcome.

Sure it can be done the 305 and 350 tpi intake pieces are the same just make sure your heads off the new 350 fit the later style of intake bolt angle, I think it's 72*. You'll need a new chip to to get the most out of it also.

if you plan to put in a 350 and mod it later on down the road go with 24 lb injectors, make sure to get an adjustable fuel pressure regulator also. You will definitely need a custom tuned chip as Tony said. Don't go with any hypertech or JET junk. Get a custom tune done.

I had a 350 put in my '85 Tpi Trans Am. It worked fine, they simply bolted everything up from the 305 to the 350. And no PCM work was done either. I'm not saying that PCM work won't make it perform even better, just saying from experience, it's not needed. And the stock 305 injectors worked as well.
