Nice!
So, how many miles have you put on her in that one year?

Re: well finally had my GTA for one year

Very nice and congratulations on the purchase of your GTA. Yes, there are some things that need to be fixed, but a GTA is a GTA and that is good.

About the video, they say that if you are driving around in a parking lot at night video taping, if you can get up to 88 mph, you can go back to the future.

I asked since I've seen one similar to yours in the Matthews area near Charlotte recently.

Re: well finally had my GTA for one year

oh ok.... since i bought my GTA a year ago, ive only seen one other one. It was at sonics, a resturant. It was 87-89 flame red model with black leather interior.. it looked pretty beat up... it might have been a project car... but besides that ive never seen another one. i get looks when were at stop lights.. i get compliments all the time about the car... and i have plenty of people try to challenge me.. so far ive only lost to an wrx and a 2001 saleen mustang..... but i remember taking out a corvette around the same year as my car too...

Re: well finally had my GTA for one year

Looks as though car has been repainted - doesn't appear to be Flame Red or Bright Red

Re: well finally had my GTA for one year

The photographs that I took of my GTA right before we began the first phase of the restoration project, my GTA looked more like it was just red then the rich flame red that it actually was. It is funny because I never really noticed the difference until it was repainted and I put both of the before and after photographs next to each other. I guess that the long term effects of sun and weather elements sort of bleached out the color and metalic sparkles from the paint. Yumiko

Re: well finally had my GTA for one year

Wildbird...there are more of us here in NC. I noticed that you said you were from Raliegh, have you ever joined up with Triad F-Body? There is a guy on there that has a black notchback GTA. We're around, just have to look for us. Maybe this spring you'll be able to head down to Charlotte for the spring Auto Fair at Lowes Motor Speedway. I plan on having my car there.

Re: well finally had my GTA for one year

Bring it down, heaven knows we need more 3rd gen birds at Auto Fair. Last weekend I counted 5 including my Formula and the '92 Formula that was for sale in the corral! You couldn't throw a rock and not hit a 4th gen bird though.........
