Black rims/Gold Rims which are better?

I expect a lot to say gold as they fell in love with the GTA due to the gold rims. my thought is black makes it look more modern. thoughts?
these are plastidipped so I can go back to original

pretty much the expected result as stated previously.
not shocking at all.. the gold just looks too dated and the black makes the car look more contemporary.

Everyone knows my feeling about the golds. if they had made a TA with the same power options I would have bought another TA as I think the "deep-dish turbo" wheels on the TA were the best looking with white letter Eagle GTs that the F-body ever looked.

I've never really been a fan of black wheels in general, but I think they look good on your GTA (along with the previous ones you had on there), but as you stated, the gold rims (along with the badging) is what made people notice the GTA and make it stand out. If we ever meet up at the Nationals or Tipp City, I would still be more than happy to park next to you and help represent the GTAs lol.

Any other style or color takes away the GTAs unique originality. This is what I feel anyways.

I like 4 front crosslace wheels all the way around and I think the best color of the wheel depends a lot on the color of the car.

Every time I see this thread I am filled with Joy that I am the only one in the universe that likes the black over gold. lol. I am the only one who voted black rims.

You would think I wanted to add some crazy hood and thought it looked cool. Or have some custom wheels... I guess I am just the confused one or the factory knows best.

yeah gold looks better... How could I have been so wrong all these years? I better peel off the plasti dip off the wheels cause I will never win a car show now

I'll take the black cross lace wheels that came on my TA from the factory. It is very easy for gold details to make a car look gaudy. Gold wheels do look OK on a red GTA though.

Mixed opinion here.
I really like the looks of the black but I might be swayed to keep the gold because:
What Yumiko said, black w/ gold is reminiscent of Bandit, and gold would be more color coordinated with your interior.

I think those are the same as I have on my 86 firebird, all silver. They are the same as the GTA except for the gold color.

On a TA are they not 15"? Mine are GTAs with plastidip covering the Gold part. they wear 245/50/16s

I found a set of four in a junkyard somewhere around '96. They didn't know where they came from and I don't either. They are the same though. Perhaps someone took the gold color off?

My '86 isn't a TA either, just a 6-cyl. lowly thing that it is. LOL. It does burn regular and gets 27 MPG though.
