3rd Gen Fbody Problems; What problems should I expect on my 88GTA

Well?

What are some common problems and are they easy to fix?

I don't want a car to work on and rebuild, just drive and drive the hell out of it. I don't want to have to take it into the shop, etc.

Will I have many problems on a 88GTA? I'm going to get it in good exterior and interior condition and no more than 65k original miles on the engine. 305 V8 manual transmission.

What problems can i expect and can i fix them myself, etc.?

What MPG will i get? highway and city

and how reliable are the digital dashes? Should i go for a GTA that has one?

thanks

GTA Year: 1988
GTA Engine: 305 TPI Automatic
Most of the problems I've had are simple stuff like Mass Air Flow sensor relays, fan relays, fan switch, oil pressure sending unit (factory w/110K miles, bad calibration), heater core, and EGR (factory). Normal wear in transmission, brakes, etc, and regular tune ups done by myself. Not too much really specially for a 110K mile car. Most of the stuff I fix myself except for brakes, last time it cost me $750. As far as mileage I get 17MPG city/hwy combined, but my car is somewhat modified.

BTW, thanks for coming over from AF.
