Source Page Update....

Another small update to report..... a road test of a '92 GTA is now posted on the Page. This review is the first that I've ever run across for the "swan song" year of our cars. It's a good read, and has some very nice photos as well.

But, damn, those '92s were EXPENSIVE! :shocking:

Frankie,

I don't want to be critical, but I found a mistake in the road test:

DRIVETRAIN

Transmission:.......... 4-sp. auto.. O/D
Transmission ratios:.......... (1st) 3.06:1
(2nd) 1.63:1
(3rd) 1.00:1
(4th) 0.70:1
Axle ratio:.......... 3.23:1
Engine rpm @ 60 mpg in 4th:.......... 1850 rpm

Shouldn't it be @ 60 MPH, instead of miles per gallon?

Brandon, that's not being critical at all. I need for the info on the Page
to be correct. Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I'll get it
corrected ASAP.

That's what I get for not taking typing in school, I guess.....

You're amazing Frankie. I gave up by thinking I would have to rely on using the reviews for the '91 believing I would never read anything directly about the '92. (even if the 91 & 92 are virtually identical). Great find !!!!!

HehHehHeh.... :rotflmao: Not really. That's just the job of The GTA Source Page.... any and everything relating to these cars is the focus of the website. Whatever it takes to find it and bring it to all of you out there is what I do....

I too was suprised to run onto this review, since I had never seen anything in print documenting the last year of the GTAs. With them being "customer order-only" cars, I assume that there wasn't many of them out there to test.

But good 'ol Road and Track sucked up and put one through its paces for all of us....

Popular Mechanics magazine put a 1989 GTA through a long-term test as well; I've got two of the three installments, and I'm on a mission to uncover the third one so I can post it on the Page as well.
