No PSN trip this year for Frank....

I'm going to have to miss attending this year's event, I'm afraid. Our birds are not gong to go out for processing until around June 18 (I had been planning on the previous week), and I just can't take the chance that something disasterous will happen during the last week of the flock while I'm gone to Texas.

I don't want to leave my Dad alone with the birds, and our hired help isn't dependable enough for me to leave the farm for that long during the hot weather.... he tends to only do what he wants to when he wants to. Since we are betting so much financially on our success with this new poultry company, I had just better put "the livelihood" first this time....

For those of you who attend, please think of me trolling through those chicken houses while you're enjoying a great car show, OK? Oh, and take lots of pictures that you can post as well.

Joe, you HAVE to go now to the PSNs to carry the GTA banner for us all.... Make us proud.

Skull & Crossbones We all understand there Frankie.....

I hate that for ya but I know that we all understand. My plans are still looking like we are heading that way Friday morning. I will be spending most of the weekend cleaning up the little lady getting her ready for her journey and the big show. Ill try to get a few pictures for ya, but I can assure you, I probably wont do as good a job as you usually do. We will surely miss ya at the event. Keep all that "CHICKEN STUFF" in order and we will see ya in 2004. Maybe we will have the 91 GTA ready for her debute as well. Hang in there & keep that head up.

Let me tell you it's tough to have to miss this one.... it's the only event I was going to get to attend all year. So 2003 will be a "car show-less" year for The Source Page, I guess. Hopefully I'll get to make the charity laps at TMS in September.

With this being the first flock of birds for our new poultry company, I sure don't want something bad to happen because I wasn't here.... chickens can go down in a hurry during hot weather, especially 8-pound ones.

This new company is projecting a settlement for this flock in the $30,000-$35,000 range (almost double what we've made before), so you can see the financial implications could be severe in the event of some kind of problem.

$35,000 payday.... vs.... car show. That's it in a nutshell, basically. I'm sure most of you out there would make the same decision.

Give 'em hell, Joe!

Cool well i dont know about the hell part.... LOL

But my little lady is all dressed in black and looking pretty good if I may say so myself. She needs another coat or two of polish and a state inspection sticker & she will be ready to load the luggage. We will definatly give em a pretty good try anyhow.

I know you'll do us proud, Joe.... Have a good trip, and be sure to send me a photo of the trophy after you win it.

Frank-
I hate for you to miss the show and all of the fun I had planned for you, but.......gotta pay the bills. I didn't get to attend Super Chevy in Dallas because I was saving for the Indy 500, so I know what you mean by no car shows this year......
