its a rare sight to not be under a cover but I treasure those times!. it was the day before my 47th year B-Day yesterday.

Definitely! need some pics of black GTAs lined up. Yours looks really nice too! I went to your album and your paint is so nice. any engine shots? are you a 355 ci? when was it over-bored?
If I go though I really may not go to the nationals since its a two day affair and attending church is something important to me and my family so that is one of the reasons I have never gone and entered. I am very interested in the Tipp city cruise and will try to make that. My main project at work is winding down and My car was in Long term storage and I didnt want to pull it out for the show. I am happy that I have brought it closer to home and really plan on Tipp City! do they have any prizes at that cruise in?

I really want to meet you guys and feel like part of this community. I am looking to see some nice third gens since normally I am the only one at shows or one of two or three and they are normally kinda of rough. The nice thing about having a car in storage and not on the road much is that they are always show ready with very little prep to do beforehand. Before Tipp i want to to some dusting of the engine area and want to touch up the rear diff. there are some scratches from previous owner there. also have some carpet near the hood release that needs glued back since it is old and the glue has aged.

Also in looking at the spare area I see a strip of woven metal above the spare along the quarter panel. anyone know how to fix it as it has sagged away from the sheet metal and it hard to hold against the side? anyone else know what I am talking about?

Get to the Nationals sometime if you haven't been. I've not been able to go in over a decade (life has intervened) but hope some day soon to go back. I don't have a GTA nice enough to garner any recognition, but the experience is amazing. If you love Firebirds, you need to go at least once in your life; the last year I was there, IIRC the car count was right at 500 or so.

And I did change out Hector's chrome valve stems this year at last, so the 3rdGen judges should be happy. But at the same time, would the grey valve stem caps throw them into a tizzy??? LOL

Well I have mounted exhaust tips (welded) onto stock exhaust, legal 50% window tint and I plastidipped the gold crosslaces black. so the judges would put me in modified class I am sure which is not really where it belongs in my opinion... I do plan on doing Tipp city if life doesn't interfere...

Also just noticed the nice "Historical Vehicle" tag too....all we have here in Arkansas are the generic "Antique Auto" tags with a Model T or Model A or something on them. Blah.

If we had something cool like that, I might consider getting one.

Yeah they are restrictive but never have to renew... I could even have it customized but then you have to pay like 60 a year.

Everyone should give you a big hand, you finished second in the contest. The competition was fierce-stock/modified cars all together. Difficult month to win.

For those of you who didn't follow along, the car that beat 1badGTA won by one vote! The two of them stole the show, wasn't even close with the other cars.

I was cheering for you. Proud of you for representing a quality GTA to TGO.

Thanks it was so close.. and I was hoping that others would vote but couldnt ask for it I stick to the rules but He really did deserve the win. well done car. I hope to be nominated during a month that its all stock. this was my first nomination and I appreciate it!
it was exciting and my family was all excited as well (if you knew how my wife felt about the GTA it was amazing she even asked about it- maybe get a new wife like YumikoGTA lol. I mean my wife is asian so... I think Yumikos are hard to locate though - just kidding)
