Rattling door question???

My drivers side door rattles when I hit bumps. Is there a way to tighten it when closed to eliminate this? (and hopefully prevent it from dragging on the jamb)

Re: Rattling door question???

Mine used to do it. Then I put in spohn and alston subframe connectors as well as replaced the door hinges with the TDS door sagging kit and everything is as tight as can be now.

Re: Rattling door question???

Like Fred91GTA said, try and get a hinge kit. The pin usually goes bad from weight of the door. (common on these cars) Top Down Solutions has some good parts and like Fred says, he does have that hinge kit. There is also some adjustments you can make with the striker to bring the door in tighter when it closes to avoid some rattling. If the door is not pulled in all the way, it will rattle. There is also two rubber roundish/rectangular stoppers on the door (one upper, and one lower) when the door is closed, these put pressure on the door and keep it tighter also. I was missing the two on my drivers door, and it did make a difference.
Take care
mike
