Large # of Parts

Greetings all,

I have been off this forum for a while as I have been enjoying my GTA. I converted it into a race-only car a number of years ago and kept all the parts I took off. They filled a couple of really large bins, including bumpers, console, headlights, interior, rear hatch, wiring harness, and on and on.

I am now interested in getting rid of the parts as I am about ready to sell the car.

Should I try and keep it all together and sell it with the car, or split it all up? I'm torn because the car could be restored (a lot of work!) and it would be next to impossible without all this stuff. If I split it up, the first guy with a big truck gets it, but you have to come to NorCal to pick it up.

As for the car, it has a '63 300/327 Corvette engine that has been extensively modified and a manual shift THM 400 automatic. Comes with a full set of 18" Michelin Porsche Cup road racing slicks and rims plus 2 sets of spare tires. Suspension is stock with Hawk pads. I can overwork the brakes in about eight laps @ Sears Point.

I admit I'm kind of fishing here, but the car is definitely going this year. I may race it once or twice more, probably @ Laguna Seca, but we'll see.

Any thoughts? Any input is appreciated.

Hans

Re: Large # of Parts

Just so I'm clear, I am not parting this stuff out. It all goes for free to one person to clear out a storage area. I have no interest in selling any bits of it seperately. All or nothing, bring a truck.

Re: Large # of Parts

without giving an idea of what you want for what there's no way we can answer your question. You would make the most $ by parting it all out. If you don't want to mess with all that then you have your answer.

I don't want to SELL any of it, I want to GIVE it to someone. When I originally posted this I was on the fence, but now I have welded in a roll bar and removed the carpeting and headliner (which go as well), so I thought someone here could use it. Luckily I have a barn, so it can stay for a little while.
