Help in finding lost a 88 GTA Wide Body

I'm looking for my old 88 GTA Trans Am CUSTOM WIDE BODY - White with tan cloth interior

Look at the link below for car photos.

Chuck Swick from Bond Motor Car Company in Columbus, Ohio bought the GTA from me in 12/1989.

Last Registered in Minnesota in 1999 based on CarFax records.

Custom Wide Body GTA Trans Am that I built in 1988 Glen Mills, PA. I sold the GTA at a Kruse Custom Auto Auction in Miami, Florida to Chuck Swick from Bond Motor Car Company in 12/1989, he took the car back to his home in Columbus, Ohio and he used it personaly. Chuck sold the car at his dealership in Ohio a year or so later. I have contacted Chuck and he is trying to find the information on who he sold GTA to. Last Registered in Minnesota in 1999 based on CarFax records. I have not found records past 1999.

Let me know if anyone has seen it. I may be interested in buying it back.

That's a very interesting look for a GTA. I've never seen it and it'll take some getting used to. Hope it's still around and you find it!

Re: Help in finding lost a 88 GTA Wide Body

I love that body mod.

In my mind, the ultimate project Thirdgen was to use that IMSA body style and do a 350 midengine/ZF 5 (or 6) speed transaxle. Then let the Euro cars look out

If I ever get around to it, it's on my list to build.

Gary.

Re: Help in finding lost a 88 GTA Wide Body

If you can find the Pontiac body parts, just build yourself another one.
I know that they will be hard to find, but they may be easier than finding the car.

Just a thought,

George

Re: Help in finding lost a 88 GTA Wide Body

I'm guessing he wants that one. I'm in the same boat I've owned 5 third gens since I sold my first one all were "nicer and better" than my first one but I'd gave any of them away for that one wouldn't care if the nose touched the firewall and was upside down on fire. CAN'T REPLACE THE MEMORIES I learned this one the hard way...

Re: Help in finding lost a 88 GTA Wide Body

That is sharp. The sides remind me of the Tojan T/A and the hood is like the one that is on the Stormtrooper Formula that Hawks had on display at the TA Nationals. Hope you can find it.
