Re: The pics say it all!!!!!!!!!!!

Wow Congrats Cliff

I am sure mine will never get to that lofty goal. I just don't drive it enough. Then maybe I should get busy and go drive.

Re: The pics say it all!!!!!!!!!!!

With my car at less than 40,000 miles on her,
It may take me a century to get close to your miles.
Congrats!

I just wish that I could do close to 80 with my tach where yours is. The 373 gears crank up my tach.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I used to have 3.73 gears in my car. That was years ago, though. I swapped them to the original 3.23 gears when gas started climbing.

Re: The pics say it all!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats! Outstanding! Go for the big 500K!

Ya see? Good GM motors will live longer than George Burns if taken care of.

In fact, I have a 1995 Grand Prix that looks now like it landed at Anzio with the allies. Cosmetically, it would put it in the same class as, oh, say...Joan Rivers. But! It has 220K miles and still runs like a scalded butt ape. It handles great, is wonderfully torquey and still gets 26mpg on the asphalt.
That 3.1L V6 is one of those motors that GM just 'got right.'

Additionally, I just sold a 1996 Bonneville that had 219K miles on it (a bearing started going out and the oil pressure started dropping, but it sat 5 years without cranking before I bought it).

My wife's ugly rump 01 Aztek has 155K miles on it and it goes like a sewing machine, and before I creamed Bambi's mom my old 1990 Formula had 220K+ miles on it.

Whoever started that crap about Honda, Toyota, Nissan, et. al building better, longer lasting cars than GM needs a kick in the throat by an Army mule.

I fully expect to nurse this old GP until it his the big 300K.
Or blows up with me in it, whichever comes first.

Congrats, Cliff.... that kind of history inspires us all.

But you might want to be careful snapping photos of your dash at 80 mph.

Re: The pics say it all!!!!!!!!!!!

i think that european cars most are lot better than old days
as honda nissan never had a honda or a nissan
i have a opel corsa cdx automatic 1.4 cdx from 1998

also if you don t maintain your trans am corvette ir iroc camaro you never make it but evidence its clear old big huge V8 is what U.S should be powerful
long lasting no one can break it

congratulation
