Re: No Hood insulation???

Holy cow, look how clean that car is !

The interior colors look so new.

I just bought hood insulation for mine, was a miss also, but I have a feeling was there ...

There is site has custom graphics ... bird or GTA ... and molded type.

Google ...

Re: No Hood insulation???

I love that color combo, I remember when they sold new like this. I bought a 92 Vette in this color combo, but I always loved it on the GTA. Sweet car. Thanks for posting the pictures, that has to be one of the lowest mileage GTAs still around.

If you don't mind me asking, did you just buy this car? I have saw a similar one for sale on Hemmings and was curious?

Thanks.

Re: No Hood insulation???

I had an Iroc Vert 1988 what a piece of crap!!! it rattled itself to pieces lol.. the 91/92's are tighter ..a lil better quality if you can say that about a GM product of that year.. lol..

Re: No Hood insulation???

Wow, 2 nice cars. I love that GTA, I have been watching it for sale for a while. You got a great car with that one. Probably one of the lowest mileage GTAs still around. Excellent.

Love the convertible also.

Re: No Hood insulation???

No hood insulations.....that is not good. The previous owner may have removed it if it was not in good shape or something. Too bad that they are not available from the dealership any longer. They were very cheap, I think about $25 for them. I got three of them for my car in 2001 or 2002 because they were so cheap to get. I have new one on my car, one in the closet outside of the cardboard and one still in the cardboard. When I found out that they were no longer available, I wished that I would have bought more of them because they were so cheap. Some others may have and in a few years will sell them for hundreds of dollars each.

I tried to see if the Formula hood insulations would work but they are a much different shape so they will not work.

Good luck.

Yumiko

Re: No Hood insulation???

Hey Yukimo.

When you get a chance, take a picture of your insulation and post it.

I need to see if there are any holes cut out for the air to get in. With the hood louvers and the other upper vents, does any holes need to be cut.

I got a hood insul that fits 85-92's ... Since you had since new, yours should have correct cuts.

Thanks.
