Not too common options?

Well, I thought that I would post something new. When I purchased my GTA, one of the things I wanted to get in my GTA was the vanity mirror. So now many years later on, I know now much more about my GTA than I did then when I first purchased it.

What do you think are the not too common options for GTAs? I was wondering if the option D34 is common. From what I notice from this site, the D34 was a part of a larger collection of other options put together. Do anyone else have this D34 option also? Also what specialized option does your GTA have?

Re: Not too common options?

My T/A had the vanity mirror on the passenger side sun visor.

Overhead consoles were a less common option.

AA8 is another one hehe

Mine was an AA8, but now the only thing from AA8 that remains are the split back seats and the AA8 on the RPO

Re: Not too common options?

What is the GTA delete?

The next item does not count since it is not on my GTAs RPO sticker but I got a cassette tape holder that is the B67 option. As I understand it, this B67 began to be an option in 1988 or 1989. Does anyone have the information about when the cassette holder became an option in GTAs?

Re: Not too common options?

A joke? I see now. I was thinking at first when I read this that they had made too many GTAs and so they removed the GTA parts to make it a standard Trans Am or Firebird again because there was a last minute order for one of those or something like that.

Re: Not too common options?

By the way...my trans am was a GTA in every aspect minus the badges. I had every option tossed at it possible (without digital dash, privacy shade and overhead console) and you couldn't tell the difference until you saw the front fender vents.

Re: Not too common options?

I was under the impression that to get the overhead console, it also came with other options like a group appointment or something like that. Is this correct or was it possible to just order that specific option which is only the overhead console.

I am sure it came with a package but I remember on the option sheet, it was a stand alone option in 86 (my TA was an 86) but if they changed it for GTAs I am unsure

Re: Not too common options?

I have every available factory option for domestic US purchase on my original 5.7 liter GTA. Console was part of a package, Cassette holder insert came with the car, but not as a sticker sheet option.
