88 digi dash heads up display

Ok so i know its been along time since i been on was wondering if you guys could help out with getting the heads up display to work so far i got the trunk ajar to work low coolant working washer low to work im trying to figure out how to get the door ajar to work

I found 3 wire total a black green stripe wire 1 black drivers side and on the passenger side i found a black green stripe now if i take the solid black wire on the drivers side and ground it, it makes the left door ajar work so i know the circuit is good also on the passenger side if i ground the black green stripe i get the right door ajar to work.

Problem is if i have the doors close and ground the wires it makes them come on even with the doors closed what is wrong on this

Re: 88 digi dash heads up display

I'm not 100% sure on this one...
But from my car, there's a small striker switch inside the door that connects to the door lock. It is connected to a grey and black with greystripe wire that's on the driver's side. It either works one of two ways, when it's grounded no warning light or the opposite.

Re: 88 digi dash heads up display

The FLAMP and RLAMP are based on a specific resistance.
If the circuit is open (infinite resistance) or is out of spec, it will show up on the HUD.

I don't know the specific resistances though...

Re: 88 digi dash heads up display

I've given up on my digital dash. That's why when the car is done it'll have the standard Trans AM style dash in it. My odometer has never worked, the warning module is acting up, speedo is jacked, and I don't think it is as accurate as traditional sweep gages. Good luck fixing yours.
