Sensor located near starter?

Hi all. I've got a single round pin sensor right near the starter. The post is loose, planning to replace it, but I'm not sure which sensor it is. Thinking it's the oil pressure but not sure. I can get a pic if needed, but based on location and description does anyone know off the top of their heads?

Re: Sensor located near starter?

The knock sensor I think like what the other member say it is next to the starter motor. I attach a picture to show this one too, it is the second picture.

The oil pressure sensor I belive it is on the top of the motor right next to the distributor cap. I attach a picture of my GTA engine when it was out after rebuilding to show this sensor. This sensor in the picture that I attach is on the right side near the top and is round with a yellow paint on it.

The third picture I attach is of the sensor that is right above the oil filter. I think that this one is for emergency if car gets into an accident and becomes upside down, the sensor will detect this and the computer will turn off the motor.

Re: Sensor located near starter?

Yes thanks! Definitely the knock sensor. I'll order a replacement. Not that expensive and although it seems to be functioning properly seems like it may give me problems being loose like that. Thanks again.
