True dual exhaust system for 90 GTA 305
The age old question first is (what was GM thinking) when they designed this swizzle stick exhaust system.
Does anyone make a true dual exhaust system front to rear (not just rear) for this? |

About as close as your going to get. You'll have to mod it to fit your car.
http://www.kooksheaders.com/bundled-...ns-am-761.html Whats the plans for your car power wise? Be honest with yourself, your wallet and future power plans so your not buying parts twice. If your just looking to warm it up a lil bit, a good aftermartket 3" cat back and Dyno Dons headers/Ypipe will handle around 500hp b4 it starts becoming a restriction. Stepping up to a dual really isn't worth the headache. IMO |

I just look at the stock system and wonder what in the world they were thinking, it looks as if they designed the car and at the last second discovered (oh, we forgot the exhaust system)!
Thought I'd try one last time before getting rid of it. |

Re: True dual exhaust system for 90 GTA 305
There are no true dual exhaust "kits" out there for the third gen.
All I have seen were custom built but were still very well thought out. The issue you run into is heat from the driver's line and the proximity to the fuel lines that run down the transmission/drive shaft tunnel. You also may run into ground clearance issues because of how the floor pans are designed. Avoid speed bumps and humps in parking lots like the plague.

Re: True dual exhaust system for 90 GTA 305
I've had duals and single exhaust. I wouldn't mess with duals again, to many nice single exhausts out there and you won't have to worry about clearance or other issues. Some guys have nice set ups, not knocking them.
Actually, I went from duals back to single exhaust. And for the money involved, it was cheaper for me to do the single exhaust, even if you piece your own system together. As mentioned above, if you are running a 305 and there are no big mods in your future, a single exhaust will be plenty on it. |
