Re: GTA front bumper - how to attach?

That's where those 11mm quick release nuts go on.
They have no threads, just stamped metal in the shape of a nut with a rubberized gasket. They are royal pain in the butt to get at to tighten down.

Re: GTA front bumper - how to attach?

Sorry but I do not recognize what that is or where it is on the GTA in the photograph that you attached. It seems from your photograph that you are trying to attach two painted parts together, but the front bumper is only made from one solid piece. The only place where two painted parts connect together on the front is where the sides of the bumper cover attaches to the front ends of the fenders. And then the ground effects on each side near the bottom. Is that what this photograph is?

Re: GTA front bumper - how to attach?

Yumiko, That is exactly where he is pointing to.
The 2 "pins" that go into the fender on either side.
They have 11mm quick release nuts with a goop on them(I don't know how to describe it better than that) that don't have a thread, but instead, they bite into the pins and screw tight.

It is very difficult to reach up inside the fenders to get at that specific location while the ground effects are in place.

Re: GTA front bumper - how to attach?

After a quick look, its a 11mm Thread Cutting Nut.
You should be able to find them at any auto body supply store.

Re: GTA front bumper - how to attach?

Your looking for these, they are called speed nuts and they use a 11mm socket.
