I did not find such a thing in my GTA, but we did not remove the interor when we restored it. The closest to removing any of the interior pieces was removing the doors and the hatch back lid and also the plastic door sills at the bottom of the car that cover the ends of the interior carpeting. Other then those things, the interior was not removed at all. So perhaps this document could be under the carpet somewhere or inside the dash area, as I think some people have mentioned that it could be in these places.

Re: 87 GTA Question

Yumiko, it's also possible it could be under the bottom of one of your rear seat cushions, which is an easy place to check.

We have removed the rear seats when replacing the rear shocks two times and I never seen such a document under there. I had a mechanic who used to do everything to my GTA before I learned how to do it my self. He replaced the factory shocks in 1991, so perhaps he could have taken it out of there when he did the work. But as someone has mentioned before, some of the assembly workers may not even have put this documentation on the car when it was assembled.

I personally believe that if such a document is on my car somewhere, it would probably be under the carpeting or behind the dash board, because those are the only two interior components I have never had to remove.
