Re: Bose Speakers

Boston Acoustics makes a 4x6 plate with seperates in which I looked at going with until a buddy of mine convinced me to purchase a set of older Boston Pro 4" seperates and make my own plate since these speakers have crossovers in them. The back of the car will have the UQ7 enclosures with just a set of Bostol 4x6 Coaxial speakers and then the sub box I built with 2 10" subs that sit on top of the hump.

Re: Bose Speakers

I bought the speakers from the fiero store. They are a hair to big to fit 100%, but they will tighten down. I can't test the quality because I think the amp pushing them is shot. They sound very distorted even at a very low volume which makes me think the amp is blown. If I can get my hands on a new amp I will let you know how they sound.

Re: Bose Speakers (Merc3065)

A couple of guys over at TGO recommended these.

Do you think these 5 1/4 subs will fit the factory enclosures? The basket dimension is 6 1/8. Depth is 3 1/8.

Re: Bose Speakers

All of this information sounds interesting. Too bad the UQ7 was not available as a factory option on 1987 Trans Am's and GTA's that had the (B2L)350 engine or auto trannys with the (LB9) 305 engine. At least for cars sold in the USA that was the way it was. So left to enjoy my car with the UT4 system.
