question about 91 GTA

I'm looking to replace my 87 (totalled) with a 91 I found. However, it has the standard door panels froma firebird....I was under the impression that all GTAs had the molded vinyl ones.

I checked the verification part of the site and it didn't metion these at all. So what's the deal with these?

Thanks guys.

1987-89 had the style you were thinking of. From 1990 through 92 they had the panels your 1991 has now. I had a 1990 with the sme door panels your 1991 has and I really prefer the panels in my 89 GTA a lot more.

well that's good to hear. I like my 87 custom red leather/black vinyl door panels much better as well. I'll probably end up swapping those 91 panels for some 87-89 tan style.

Thanks!

But you won't have those nifty CUP HOLDERS if you do. I like the 1987-1989 style door panels better too (they fit the interior style better), but I'd sure like to have a good cupholder too. :mmmmm:

If you decide to swap to the older style panel, be sure to keep the original ones for authenticity's sake!

it all depends Frankie. Say, you going to be at the next APA car show? I haven't gotten any new newsletters and was curious when it was.

Yes, Jonathan, I most certainly plan to be at the next APA show.... my farm schedule permitting, of course. Sorry that I had to miss the last one.

The date for this year's show is set for September 27 in Maumelle again. If you're not gettng your newsletters go to the site and send an inquiry.... Arkansas Pontiac Association

Talking

thanks Frankie! Hope to see you there. Too bad you didn't get to see the full custom interior in my last GTA though.

heh...maybe I should send in the "before" pictures of it (it's totalled now) and request a spotlight.
