My new 1989 GTA

After selling my 1988 GTA in January I ended up missing the car quite a bit.

I purchased this 1989 GTA yesterday from a Trans Am collector in Big Bear. It's my first L98 car.

It's going to need some love but I'll take care of that.

Excuse the mobile phone pictures...

With my buddies 1986 Trans Am (1982 Clone)

Here is my 1988 GTA on the day I puchased it.

The day I sold it.

Re: My new 1989 GTA

Personally I wouldn't have sold it. That is one of the nicer GTAs that I have seen. I couldn't have let that go. A paint job and that 89 will be extremely nice.

I thought it was a pretty common combo on the 89's.

i don't think it was a common combo in any year. i've never personally seen an l98/t-top combo in person.

Actually, Wes is right on this one. The 89's were produced with the L98 and t-top combo in mass numbers. In fact, a hard top was actually rare in '89.

Congrats on the new purchase. I'm diggin' your friends ride. I used to own an 83 model that look just like that. I miss that car.

Nice find Agent. I went through the same thing when I bought my car (being impatient that is). The '89 was a good choice. I think that the t-tops with the 5.7 is the most desirable combo IMO.

I must say that if your last car is any indication of the treatment this car is in store for.... then it's going to be great. Congratulations on a great find and best of luck with the car.

Nice car Alex!
Gives you something to do now, while the weather is great out there.
Any car shows you are going to?
