Door Handles

My drivers door handle on the outside is loose and cheap feeling, but when i bought it it was nice and tight, like the passengers is. Is there any fix for this??? I hate the cheap feel, the car only has 35,000mi. My friends '86 Z28 is the same way, I understand that this is a common problem on the F-bodys.

The F-bodies have 2 clips that keep the door handles in place. One of the two clips usually breaks. I have an 87 GTA and my driver-side door is the same way. I have yet to figure out a way to fix it.

I have seen this occurrance on many 3rdGen F-bodies. To my knowledge, the only way to really fix the problem is to replace the entire handle assembly..... not an entirely happy prospect.
