Does anyone know where I can get new bird emblems, that go between the door glass and the hatchback, without going through the dealer?

Try Ames Performance Engineering or Classic Industries. Both have websites and should be able to provide you with a free catalog upon request.

You could also try visitng www.nextgenparts.com. That's a great site for finding any part you need for a third or fourth gen F-Body. I got a complete set of emblems for my '91 Gunmetal Grey GTA from them.
