I run Fuzion ZRi radials on my car. I like them. They're not real expensive, they hold well in the summer, and don't too bad in the rain either (when I drove my car in the rain).

He actually has no garage, either. So Vader's outside all the time.
Get a cover, Patrick!!

I'll second the vote for the GS-D3's. I've had them on my 96 Z for a few seasons and they are a great summer tire. I will say that if your car doesnt see the wet then these tires may be overkill. The wet weather traction is phenomenal. They do look the part though. Id probably go with a Kumo as my next choice.

I kind of had to when it was my DD. Now it's a weekend warrior so it doesn't get driven in the rain if I can help it. I occasionaly get caught, but nothing more than a mist. I wish I had a garage Bethany...oh how I wish. I'd get a cover, but with the high humidity I'm afraid it'll be a bad thing sitting under the cover.

You just have to get a really good, breathable cover. Those will vent moisture out, but keep Vader dry in the rain. Just know that if you need to work on Vader in the freezing cold or blistering heat, you're more than welcome to come up and use my garage. I have AC and a propane heater. :) As long as it isn't raining, I'll even move Emma outside so you can work on him. ;)

will 245/60-16 fit a GTA? I am guessing it would ruin the speedometer/miles accuracy though.

and what if I got a pair of 215/65-15s with rims, are they the same diameter so we dont mess up the Miles/MPH?:) I ask since I am looking for a set that I can run and store the originals. I actually love the original deep dish 85-88 TA wheels more.

A 215 tire will be not as wide as for tread width.
In other words, the car won't be able to handle as well as with the 245s.
Changing to any tire height size (50 series to a 60 or 65 series) will make your MPH be off, but not all that much.
Just don't go racing around cops with radar. ;)
I would stick with the 245/50/VR or ZR 16s.
Not as easy to find anymore, but I feel they are worth it in the end.
My take,
George

I am just looking for rims and tires (normally cheaper than buying just rims I have found) together on craigslist. A lot of people try to upgrade their rims and still have good tread on the old tires:) I have the original tires on mine so I think i should just save money and store my perfect rims and balding original tires...

Goodyear Eagle GS-D3. These tires are insane! In the rain they are monsters! I tried to get the back end of my car loose in a parking lot in pouring rain, and I couldn't do it unless I almost floored it going around corners. They look awesome, they are quiet, they are excellent in the dry, amazing in the wet, and they look amazing. I highly recommend them! They are about $170 a tire though, but worth it! I was going to say too, they do get hard when it is cold outside and spin extremely easy. They are ultra high performance SUMMER tires only..
