out of curiosity today, after doing a lil bit of re"search"....
i don't think anyone has ever discussed about a GTA that was equipped with both, a 1LE/SLP packages under one hood...

back in the day, were you able to order both options for a GTA??

I understand that SLP packages was a dealer installed option...however
the 1LE was a factory option...but don't know if that was avalible for a gta since GTAs weren't used in the Player's Challenge Series..only the TAs...

anyone would like to clarify this? Would be awesome to see if there is a such a thing around!...infact a bit valuable too!

I think they did; however, I think they were very few and far, far between... :( That is just imho...

1LE was never available on the GTA, as our cars were fully contented models after 1987. There were 1987 cars used in road racing, though. Andy Pilgrim drove a GTA in competition; I've seen photos of it.

The SLP package was a dealer option in 1991 and 1992 ordered through GM Performance Parts and then installed by either the dealer or the customer.

Frankie is correct again! Only get 1le on the T/A and I almost bought one think it was an 89 and had won several SCCA races, one of those you wish you didn't let go.

I had a chance to buy one of the three 1988 1LE Trans Ams that was built. It was sold new here in Arkansas, and it was offered to me for $10K with around 30K miles on it IIRC. That was back in about 2000 or so.

To be perfectly honest with you.... no, not really.

But my friend who has a '91 Z28 1LE sure does; he was with me when we saw the car.
