I have always smoked in my cars and have always had alot of nicotine buildup on the inside of my glass. I brew tea and once its cool, put it in a spray bottle and use news paper to wipe clean. So far, there is nothing that it hasnt pulled off of the glass.

There can still be dirt particles and random debris that gets almost embedded into the glass. You can try using a clay bar kit on the glass as well to try to pull out the microscopic crap that could be there.

They also make glass polish to help remove anything on the glass.

I haven't tried it, (but am planning to eventually) but have used many of their other products.

I use and please don't laugh. Cerama bryte. It is for all smoothtop glass cook tops. Works great. Use a non scratch pad and keep it wet. Let dry and then remove gently. I always start in a corner to check before going hog wild. This I use only on the outside glass. can be found at Home Depot and I suppose Lowes.
As always use at your own risk.
