does anyone know if i can just have my cloth seats redone in leather, or are the seats somehow different ? also, what was the difference, if any, for the door panels as far as cloth or leather seats ?

same same, leather, cloth, the frame and foam are all the same.. The door panels were still cloth for both leather and cloth.

You know,
Leather is nice, but leather wears out faster in these cars, than cloth.
Just look around at GTAs.
Besides costing alot more.
But, if that's what you like, then go for it.

Classic industries have a great seat cover set of hampton vinyl....correct color, correct perforation etc but the best thing is it will wear very well and they are very cost effective

Larryj87,
Have you used it?
I haven't heard anything about it.
Just wondering,

I know someone who has, and George is right. They hold up quite nicely and look just like the leather ones.

EDIT: He added the embroidery on the headrest.

I had a set that were recovered. They looked just fine, but they looked fake. Could tell it wasn't real leather just by the texture and feel in addition to the look.
I didn't like it and I want cloth because I don't like my butt sticking to a 500*C seat in the summer time. Yeesh...Black car, black interior, thats asking for @$$ burns hehe

Yeah...I live in NC and everyone's trying to tell me to change my tan cloth to black leather. Thanks, but I LIKE feeling my backside on occasion! LOL!

I understand where you're coming from, leather gets hot, but I tend to lean towards keeping things factory. am I wrong, are these cars not worth keeping original ?

In your case, if it's what matters to you, do it.
In my case, engine and tranny are long gone, rear end is long gone, and the original interior is also gone. So...I'm more for personalizing it and making the car mine than anything.

Emma is bone stock, bumper-to-bumper, so she'll probably stay that way.

Does anyone know if they are available with the preforations like are in my seats? The only thing keeping me from getting these covers are the lack of the little holes on the seating surfaces like my GTA has. I am trying to keep the stock look as much as possible. Here is a old pic of my seats, you can see the preforations I am talking about. I have fixed up everything else in the interior but the seats have been holding me back from finishing the inside.

if they are the hampton vinyl ones, they have the perforations
its very difficult to see them with a yellowy foam background. But on the set that I had that were recovered from hawks, they have the perforations.
