Where is the location of my RPO Codes on my 88 GTA??? Sorry if this is a stupid question:)
Open the center console lid. On the inside wall of the center console itself should be a black and white sticker with several sets of 3 character codes. If it's not there, the previous owner removed the sticker.

This is a long shot but you may find it else where in the car. I found my RPO code list on the backside of the door for the locked rear storage compartment in the left side of the trunk area. I assume it was moved there by a previous owner.

I was told if you take the vin down to the dealership, they will run it for you, and print out the RPO codes for you.
I never tried it, so I don't know if this is true.
I believe that you go to the service desk.
Has anyone tried this?

I know they can make keys from the VIN. Don't see why they shouldn't.

It only seems to work for Canadian cars. GM Canada started keeping records in 1980 and so from the VIN you can get the RPOs. In the US, it was very hit and miss. I've tried running a number of VINs for members of this site and got nothing other than to confirm a legitimate VIN and decode that VIN.
