I've got fog lights!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOHOO!

Finally, I've got my fog lights back. I went up to the parts store this morning and bought the relay. Went home and finished what I was working on with my S10 then transitioned over to Vader. The reason that I didn't find it before is because it was hanging inside my fender. Go figure. The relay was shot...corroded up pretty badly. I cleaned the connectors of the plug with a wire brush and then plugged up the new one for the moment of truth. Sure enough, on they came. That made my day. :D I noticed that the relay has grooves on it like it's supposed to attach to something. Where is it supposed to attach? Right now, I've got it tucked next to the battery so it shouldn't fall back into the fender. Thanks for the help fellas. :D:D

good stuff man. it attaches right where it's seen in that picture. if you can't find a way to attach it, just let it hang in the fender by the horns, that's what i do with mine.

I'd do that Munson, but I'm afraid that may have be how it shorted out before because it was just hanging there when I found it. :( Is there a clip that mounts to the fender or something?

Mine has a little tab at the top with a hole to bolt onto the fender well.

unless it actually wore through the insulation on the wiring, and let the bare wire contact the metal on the body, that's not how it messed up. but i understand what you're saying.

Mine has a little tab at the top with a hole to bolt onto the fender well.

The tab is actually a metal bracket that slips into the back of the fuse. You first remove the fuse by unbolting the bracket and then disconnect the wire connector and then you can access the metal bracket to separate the fuse and bracket. New fuses do not come with that metal bracket, so if someone throws the old fuse away with the bracket attached and then gets a new fuse, they will no longer have that bracket to mount the fuse back in place.
