A real crazy question? What color are GTA steering wheels supposed to be and are they different from a regular TA? Mine is old and faded really needs redone and my eyes arent that great on colors. Are they all black?

Black leather for 88-?? with the steering wheel controls.
Black for the ones with the airbag

Dark grey tri-spoke for the 87s

They are different from the regular T/A as I don't think the steering wheel controls were a common option on the T/A.

Though, I have an 88 T/A column in my GTA simply because it's all I had and I like the feel of it better than the GTA wheel.

I guess I screwed up then, I put black polish on my 1987 wheel. maybe I can go back over with dark gray. It almost looks two tone black and gray.

The 1987 wheel rim color is called Graphite in the dealer product manual. I have one out in the shop; I'll try to remember to take a look tomorrow.

The 1988 GTA wheel was black leather, but I think the airbag wheel was Graphite also. I know in photos it does not look as dark as the 88-89 wheel.

Anybody here with a 1991 or 1992 car care to comment?

I have the 89 w/contols in awsome condition and it is black in my GTA

So much for tomorrow.... I checked the '87 GTA steering wheel in my collection, and it is indeed a Graphite (dark grey) color.

Hey guys, I have a 91 Gunmetal gray GTA with gray leather int. and the steering wheel is gray or graphite.
