I wouldn't hold your breath...

a 383 with a better cam, custom tune and better heads than the L98s, only put down 287rwhp. However the torque was way up there at almost 385ft/lbs.

It is extremely difficult and cost prohibitive to get 300 rwhp on a stock style TPI design. It can be done, just expect to fork out some $$$ for a better cam, and heads. Your runners and intake are very good. If you dropped a set of trickflows and a comp cams XE style of cam in there, you'd easily hit 300rwhp.

Anyhow...horsepower numbers are just bragging rights really.

My GTA had a very similar combo when I first got it, same cam and all. The car went a best of 13.70 @ 98.74mph with a 1.82 60ft at 3750lbs. According to a few online hp calcs that should be 285rwhp and around 350fwhp, though in reality I think it was probrobly closer to 240-250rwhp and 300-310fwhp.

Remember rwhp figures are not set in stone, and often can be very inacurate. Chassis dynos in my opinion are best used to get intital tunes on a car before taking it out in the real world. As an example my GTA dynod 540hp and after a converter change it dynod 610hp with the same tune(boost, timing, afr), but at the track ran almost identical ET/MPH and actually went slightly faster with the converter that dynod less hp lol

I agree. I have some of the same parts and things done to mine yet it only put down 254rwhp and 362rwft/lbs. Once I do a little more work to the 113 heads and maybe to the LT1 intake conversion it'll be over 300rwhp, but I'll also probably lose a little torque with that intake swap. As mentioned, dyno sheets are more for bragging rights. Besides...I'm not concerned as much with the hp numbers as I am the torque numbers. I guess I'm wierd like that though.

you will never get 300 rwhp with stock heads and the stock style intake, without using forced induction or bigger cubes.
